So as my inbox receives frequent emails from the RHS and as Monty et al are on the telly every night, the highly acclaimed (!) Trug & Lettuce and Plant a Border plant sales return......
In the past they've been at the Station in Frome. Now I'm trying somewhere different. This Saturday 18th May the Big Blue Land Rover will be Palette and Pasture in Trudoxhill. Follow the A361 out of Frome towards Shepton Mallet, and take a turning on the left just before you get to the roundabout for Nunney.
You can't miss the Palette and Pasture signs!
With the exception of the Hidcote and Alba lavenders, and a couple of Alchemilla molis, everything is in 3 litre pots. I prefer 3 litre pots for perennials as I believe they represent the best value for money. Plants in 9cm and 2 litre pots are too small and take an age to create an impact. What else will I be bringing along? Well gardening has to be fun. And I'm told that the names of plants is what attracts us to them - apparently. So if you've got hot lips but those flames of passion aren't being ignited then you might need some frilly knickers or a black negligee...... So I was told today. Not by Monty or Carol or Joe or Rachel.........
